Join the Rotary Club of Florence, serving all of Boone County (@FlorenceRotary), on Monday, January 27, 2025, at noon to hear Kristin Burgoyne, Executive Director of RefugeeConnect, sharing RefugeeConnect’s journey in providing support to refugees through innovative programs that connects them to essential resources and services in education, healthcare, and community support. She’ll highlight the impactful work of their community and health navigators and the transformative partnerships that help refugees thrive. Join Rotary to learn how RefugeeConnect is building a more inclusive and connected community.
RefugeeConnect invites you to a very special fundraiser on Friday, March 28th for a performance of “English” at the Playhouse in the Park, an evening benefiting RefugeeConnect as they honor The Junior League of Cincinnati with the Grassroots Award. “English” is the 2023 Pulitzer Prize-winning play about the human desire to belong as four Iranian adults navigate the mechanics of the English language with humor and vulnerability. Kristin Burgoyne is an accomplished nonprofit leader with a passion for supporting refugees, immigrants, and economically disadvantaged communities. With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, her mission is to create inclusive and supportive environments for people to thrive in their communities. As the Executive Director of RefugeeConnect, she has led the organization through transformational change during the pandemic to be more responsive to the needs of a growing refugee community.
